Hanley Announces WingAnalysis Plus, Student-Edition

OCALA, Florida, February 25, 2002 - Hanley Innovations, a small business specializing in aerodynamics and fluid dynamics software development for education and industry, announced today the release of a special Student-Edition of WingAnalysis Plus, Version 1.1. WingAnlaysis plus runs on a PC under Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP.

The student edition is a response to several requests for an educational version of the WingAnalysis Plus Package. Like the Lite Version of VisualFoil ($69.00), the Student Version of WingAnalysis Plus is offered at a substantial discount over the Full Version with an introductory price of $95.00 US. This price will be available until March 15, 2002. After this date, the price will be increased to $129.00 US.

Continuing the similarity with the Lite Version of VisualFoil, the airfoil selection in Student Version of WingAnalysis Plus is limited to NACA 4 & 5-digit airfoils only. Students can also access the modified NACA 4 & 5-digit shapes. With the exception of the airfoil selections, the Student Version of WingAnalysis Plus has all of the exceptional features found in the Full Version.

Wing Analysis Plus is Do-it-yourself approach to 3-D wing design and analysis. Users can specify Root and Tip Airfoils, Taper Ratio and geometric twist. The program can compute Lift, Drag, Moments, Maximum Lift, Maximum Lift/Drag Ratio and Minimum Drag. It can plot airfoils at root, tip and blended.
