question about Stallion 3D.
Stallion 3D makes three dimensional aerodynamics analysis and
design automatic and straightforward for users who are not
specialists in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Stallion 3D features built-in
design tools, .stl geometry import, automatic grid generation of complex
surfaces and built-in graphics.
Because Stallion 3D grid generation process is automated, simulation
of complex three-dimensional shapes becomes easy and routine for non-CFD
specialists. Automatic gridding is easy and accurate due to our novel cartesian
grid scheme that detects internal boundaries (even thin surfaces) and applies
accurate boundary conditions. This ensures that all geometric elements are
accounted for before the analysis run.
A powerful feature of Stallion 3D is its ability to read-in and grid
.STL files from any CAD or CAE software package. The software allows you
to import .STL files for direct analysis or in combination with geometries
created within the program.
Stallion 3D features a built-in geometry creation engine with thousands
of airfoil shapes (NACA 4, 5 & 6-digit airfoils). This allows you
to design and analyze complex multiple wings without the need for an
external CAD package. You can also read-in your MultiSurface Aerodynamics
(or 3DFoil) projects and analyze them (without changes) in Stallion 3D.
You do not have to purchase additional software to load or view your
project. Stallion 3D has built-in graphs and contour plots so you can visualize
your results. Stallion 3D also exports the .stl and .DXF files for rapid
manufacturing.
